Engaging Immigrant Talent Toolkit
Toolkit PDF for human resource personnel & executives to learn evidence-based models for integrating immigrant talent into the workforce.
My role was to partner with the team and work directly with the Director of Employee Engagement to enhance the look and feel of their toolkit. I accomplished this incorporating the company's brand guidelines to build a unified design system, architecting layouts, and designing conceptual illustrations. The final product was a 70 page PDF for both print and e(reading).
In addition, I developed a second product of the Executive Summary portion by adapting it for mobile screens in order to provide easy access to key concepts via mobile email.
Staying true to the the company's brand guidelines, I created a clean design aesthetic to signal a modern approach to workforce development while keeping layouts simple and free of clutter in order to ease content-readability.

How can we structure the toolkit to help readers easily find important information?
Aside from a linked table of contents which redirects the reader to the section they click on, we've included a variety of visual aids to better guide readers and inform them about important information.
The toolkit contained six distinctive sections.
(1) The introduction;
(2) a glossary of key-terms;
(3) a literature review;
(4) steps on how to start;
(5) training section; and
(6) a case-study section.
Each section included symbols which were illustrated to signal a progressive build-up from the previous section. (example graphic).
